P&D Lydon has developed customised Environmental, Quality & H&S Management Systems. The EMS, QMS and H&SMS are essentially a continuous improvement model that complies with the following principle elements:
- Environmental, Quality and Health & Safety policies
- Environmental, Quality and Health & Safety planning
- Operational control
- Inspection and correction
- Management review
P&D Lydon’s policies outline the company’s commitment to the protection of the environment, to minimising the impact of its operations on the natural and workplace environment and to continual improvement. We are committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees and the public.
We will accomplish this by complying with the requirements of ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001 and all relevant national and international regulations. We shall periodically review our objectives and targets in order to address environmental and quality issues and ensure continual improvement of environmental and quality performance as far as is economically possible.
The policy is available to the public and all interested parties on request. It is also available to all employees and is displayed in prominent locations around our sites. Through inductions and toolbox talks it is also communicated to all contractors working on our sites.
